Day 1 — KYIV

Arrival, transfer to the hotel, check in the hotel.

Day 2 — KYIV

During panoramic city tour we will show you KYIV the capital of Ukraine and the cradle of Eastern Slavonic states of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. It is a beautiful city with its centuries-old history and rich culture. The tour includes visit to Vladimir's Cathedral the most prominent sacral painting complex of the late XIX c. decorated by world well-known artists. You will examine magnificent mosaics and frescoes of St. Sophia Cathedral the oldest temple in KYIV an Rus built in the beginning of XI c. to glorify the victory of Prince Yaroslav the Wise over Pechenegs' tribes. You will see St. Andrew's Church a striking piece of baroque architecture of XVIII c. constructed according to the designs of well-known architect B.Rastrelli on the top of Vladimir's Hill. It is a good place to make marvelous photos. The tour continues along Andriivskyi Uzviz (Descent) that starts from St. Andrew's Church. This short street will impress you with its unique atmosphere. Meandering down through luxuriant vegetation of Vladimir's Hill to the picturesque Podil.

This street houses numerous art galleries and shops of folk and applied art which make this romantic street the cultural center of KYIV. Visits to art galleries will acquaint you with art trends of Ukraine. A walk along Andriivskyi Uzviz with souvenir shopping will produce unforgettable impression and give you great memories for a long time.

14:30-18:00

Visit Ukrainian folk art museum. The Museum's collection consists of 15,000 items from the sixteenth to the twentieth century’s. The textiles collection, department of creative heritage, the collection of paintings and drawings, collection of folk pottery, folk paintings, collection of folk music instruments.
Master-class (2 hours) of pysanka craf. There are Ukrainian artists who uphold this pysanka age-old tradition in modern Ukraine. Many of the old and recent pysanky are to be found in museums and in private collections, both in Ukraine and abroad. Egg as a universal symbol
In mythology of many peoples, the egg is a symbol of creation, of the living matter born out of the dead matter, of triumph of life over death. In some of the myths the world comes out of the egg, with the yolk producing the earth and the white producing the water, and the shell creating the firmament.

Day 3 — KYIV

Out-of-town excursion to peasant's «Hata of pan Savka». Meeting with pysanka master. A farmstead of pan Savki is a dream of polessk' peasant XVIII-XIX ages. Here family of «pan Savki» will meet you bread and salt in traditional costumes and will present sights of the «domains». You will be able to see that an age-old smithy works with bilocular bellows, as women in olden times wet an ash and washed clothes in the small river, removing him prachem, as spun linen and hemp threads. Main sight of farmstead is a house with a thatch roof, built in 1786. In peasant's hut all is equipped. In obedience to traditions: casket, icons, child's cradle, large table with benches, simple rural buffet with ceramic tableware and enormous brightly painted stove. In dinner room will be serve Ukrainian borsch, vareniki, maslenichnye pancakes, will be given in ceramic tableware you, and as devices are wooden spoons. You will be able to rest from city fuss in nature's lap and to meet with sights of the ancient Ukrainian village. Duration of excursion – 5 hours.

14:30-17:30

The tour to the National KYIV-Pechersk Caves' Monastery Historical and Cultural Reserve. The monastery was set up in the mid XI century A.D. It is one of the most ancient monasteries on the territory of Eastern Slavonic states. During this tour you will visit underground labyrinths of caves with mummies of monks, Museum of Treasures displaying the rich Scythian Gold collection and collection of the Judaic ritual silver objects XVIII - XX centuries, Museum of Microminiature. The reserve is situated on the picturesque hills and from the sightseeing place of Bell Tower you will have opportunity to delight the view over the gold-domed monastery complex and marvelous banks of Dnipro river. Visiting Nation Opera for watching ballet. The National Opera of Ukraine... This is a glory of Ukrainian musical culture, known all over the world the Opera-Ballet Theatre... It is a Temple, where a palpitating solemn ceremony takes place by the true and genuine art, merging hearts and souls of actors on the stage with these of spectators sitting in the auditorium; where great magic of music and dance brings all of us into the world of lofty matters, giving unmatched pleasure of harmony and spiritual enrichment. Come back to hotel.

Day 4 — LVIV

06:15-09:00

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport. Flight to Lviv.

09:00-13:30

Panoramic city tour of LVIV the cultural center of western region of Ukraine. Guests of the city are attracted by the magic atmosphere of LVIV and the peculiar nature of the city as well as all regions. The city was settled down by one of the Galicia princes for his son Leo. That gave the name of the city. Ancient LVIV has diverse architectural surroundings. It was formed with various advanced stylistic directions of European art of the XIII - XX c. and different national cultural traditions. The heart of the ancient city is Rynok Square the four corners of which are decorated with fountains depicting Greek Gods. Here one can upstairs the 65-metres high Town Hall and enjoys nice view over LVIV. You can see the clockwork of the Town Hall that has been serving precisely for over 150 years. The Pharmacy Museum holds rich collections of ancient medical and pharmacy equipment, prescription books and rare herbs. One can test here unique "ferrous wine"

Visit to the Museum of Ethnography and Crafts that is one of the richest depositories of decorative and applied art of Ukraine. The most prominent of the expositions is one of folk closes XIX - XX cc. from all regions of Ukraine that also includes over 18 thousand sets of Ukrainian embroideries. You will see here also great collections of hand-made Ukrainian and Armenian carpets, European tapestries, Jewish cult textiles, folk toys, jewelry, woodworks XVII - XIX cc. and of course a captivating collections of colored Easter eggs Pysanka and folk and modern ceramics numbering about 10 thousand pieces each.

Then you will participate in celebration Easter Holidays in Lviv Ukrainian dishes for lunch.

Day 5 — LVIV — YAREMCHE

09:00-15:00

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer Lviv - Yaremche. Stop in Rohatyn. According to one version, it is from here originally Nastia Lisovskaya (1505 - 1561 years.), Wife of Suleiman the Fair, known to all as Roksolana. Day 6 — KOLOMYIA — KOSIV — VERKHOVYNA

8.00 - Visiting tour (Kolomyia - Kosiv - Verkhovyna). Here in the heart of hutsul edge, you will visit Pysanka Museum (Easter eggs) is listed in the Guinness Book of Ukraine. The uniqueness of the Museum not only because it is made in the form of an egg whose height is 14 meters, diameter - 10. The room is made entirely of colored glass, stained glass is the total area of 600 square meters. By the way, it has no roof! Exterior finishing is performed in three dimensions.

Moving to Kosiv - Centre gucul'skoy woodcarving and weaving. Master class of pottery (optional). Moving to Verkhovyna. Visit the Museum of Roman Kumlika's tools, where our host will play folk tunes on any gutsulsky musical instruments. Return to Yaremche.
